How to Wash your Face the Right Way

I know that washing your face is so basic and some of you may think why would I still bother to create a post about it. I know it is the simplest thing to do and we all have been doing it but what really is the issue? Did you know that there’s a right way to do it? Yeah it’s true and if you don’t read this till the very last word of this post, doing your old routine may cause more harm – wrinkles, dryness and so on. You don’t want to regret at the end of the day right?!

Below are the essential steps that you need to remember. Start making it a habit, achieve a flawless face. You’ll thank me later *winks

NOT TOO HOT, NOT TOO COLD!  I’m sure you’ve heard not to use hot water as it opens your pores – Only Half true, guys hot water doesn’t open your pores up (they don’t close or open). Truth is, washing with hot water can be drying and harsh to the skin so use lukewarm water so that your skin is hydrated.

Are your hands clean? Do you wash your face right away without washing your hands first? Geez! Do not ever dare do this!

Are you using the right cleanser? Of course it depends on your skin type. I suggest a foaming cleanser for oily skin. Choose a cream based for dry skin.

Are you gentle with your face? Some uses scrubs coz they believe it will remove excess dirt. The answer is N-O! You only hurt your skin and worst it may result to a damaged skin >.< If you can’t avoid it, use a gentle one and make it once a week.

Are you using a clean washcloth? Spell H-Y-G-I-E-N-E. Oh please if you can use a new one every time you wash your face that’s absolutely AWESOME! If not, make sure to wash it everyday. I know some who uses the same washcloths over again and that’s EEW! Do not put dirt back on your face! And please, dry your face by dabbing it with a towel and not rubbing it as it can irritate, stretch and cause wrinkles on the skin!

What other tricks do you know for a better face wash? Comment away!

Hi Monalisa :* For oily skin type, it’s best to apply oil to dry skin first and allow it to sink in. Do not rub it into your skin, instead dab or pat the oils pushing them into your pores and a little bit goes a long way. My recommendations are the ff: Macadamia, jojoba, tea tree and camellia flower

Thanks for the love <3 Have a great week ahead <3

Most of the clinic I went to keep on teling me that I shouldn’t use soap on my face as it dries the skin so I am now using Celeteque facial wash or Lactacyd baby wash in color blue as recommended by my aunt who used to work at flawless and it really works for me then after that I’ll use Celeteque toner and dying lotion from Bioessence to treat my pimples. But I am looking for what’s the best night cream or moisturizer to use at night that is not so heavy and thick.

Don’t use soap on skin IF it has harmful / chemical ingredients on it. Celeteque toner didn’t work for me tho 🙁 my skin feels oily after applying.
I love it when the topic is about skin care :), for treating pimples, you might want to try applying Salicylic acid or Benzoyl Peroxide on it. Each of these two wonder ingredients have a key super power: Salicylic acid removes dead skin

For example, if you suffer from hormonal acne, Salicylic acid tends to be effective, while Benzoyl peroxide might be all you need if you have garden-variety whiteheads. Benzoyl peroxide kills bacteria.

Thanks for sharing your routine :*
